About Dental Prosthetist

What is a dental prosthetist?
Dental Prosthetist 3
A dental prosthetist is a member of the oral health care team who provides oral health examinations, takes impressions of the surrounding oral tissues, constructs and delivers removable oral prosthesis (dentures and partial dentures) directly to the patient. They are professionals and must be licensed by the Licensing Board (ADPA) which is under the AHPRA act.  They also answer to Dental Prosthetist Association that monitors their work ethics.

Referrals are not necessary for you to consult a dental prosthetist. If you feel that your denture needs a reline or a replacement, you can go to the nearest practicing dental prosthetist and make an appointment.

Clients with private health insurance can get generous rebates from the dental prosthetist. Not only that, you can also save money as you wouldn’t need a referral from a dentist anymore.

The business all started by Dr. Tomislav Simic who was a successful Dentist for 45 years in Croatia. By growing up with this dental background Mladen found a love for this field of work and continued to study at the University of Zagreb in Croatia to become a dental technician then a dentist. After marrying his wife Senka he then moved to Australia to find his true calling as a Dental Prosthetist.

Mladen Simic is a registered dental prosthetist  and has vast background in dentistry and the technical fields from Croatia and Australia. He has been creating smiles within Burleigh Heads and all around the Gold Coast  for over 20 years, and aims at providing the best care and aesthetics for his patients.

Adrian Simic is a registered dental technician and the son of Mladen, who studied 4 years at Griffith University and has had much experience within a variety of different dentistry fields, including: Dentures, Crown and Bridge and Chromes. He is also currently undergoing further study at Griffith doing his Masters of Dental Prosthetics course.

Health Benefits

You can smile again. We know denture wearers who've said that simply being able to smile again really helped their outlook on life.

Replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your oral health.

Dentures help keep facial muscles from sagging, which can make a person look older.

You'll be able to eat and speak — things that people often take for granted until their natural teeth are lost. And if you've had trouble with your natural teeth for a number of years, you might not have been able to eat the foods you want or speak comfortably for quite a while.
